A great thing to get a plant lover at Christmastime is a Christmas cacti. These plants are easy to take care of and they are a great addition to poinsettias at Christmas.

These are much different than your run of the mill cactus. These plants come from the rain forest verses the desert. With them being from different places they are use to different environments and should be treated different.

If you want a plant that has flowers and foliage than Bromeliads are for you. Bromeliads are beautiful plants that usually dwell in the rain forest. Most are easy to grow and there are lots of types to try.
